UITF Legacy Event 2025: Honoring 70 Years of Taekwon-Do
Why do we call it Legacy? On April 11, 2015, in celebration of Taekwon-Do’s 60th Anniversary, Grand Master Hwang hosted an event where he declared that the UITF would dedicate itself to preserving General Choi’s legacy. He affirmed that each year, an event would be held around April 11th, carrying the name Legacy, to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of Taekwon-Do techniques.  
 
Now, in 2025—Taekwon-Do’s 70th Anniversary—the UITF Legacy Event will take place on April 12th and 13th in Union City, New Jersey, USA, marking a significant opportunity for UITF black belts to refine their techniques, practices, and knowledge. This gathering will not only uphold Grand Master Hwang’s vision but will also strengthen the foundation of the art he so tirelessly and lovingly taught us.

The spirit of the Unified International Taekwon-Do Federation thrives in unity, as we honor our IV through IX Dans with an exclusive Saturday session we are arranging a special meet-and-greet in dobok, where I through III Dan practitioners can come together to train, share, and celebrate our global Taekwon-Do family. 
 
Event Highlights
Saturday, April 12th | 9 AM - 4 PM 
Reserved exclusively for IV through IX Dans, this in-depth symposium will focus on clarifying aspects of Taekwon-Do Tuls and techniques that are subject to interpretation.
An Upper-Dan Black Belt testing is scheduled for Saturday.

Tuls and Techniques Seminar – An opportunity to share insights from the previous day's deliberations.

We strongly encourage IV - IX Dans to attend Saturday's seminar as this will play a crucial role in maintaining technical standards and fostering collegial connections. Likewise, all black belts should take advantage of Sunday’s seminar to engage with seniors and refine their techniques.
